ALL religions must lose their tax exempt status. I hope to live long enough to see this in the USA.

comment by david a. reed on the fb page cult awareness network:.
every church and apologetics ministry should be aware that the same state high court that first imposed gay marriage a decade ago heard arguments yesterday on a case that could result in shutting down churches across massachusetts, by taxing their land and buildings--a move that could be followed by other states, just as in the case of gay marriage: .

while the vast majority of posts that the majority of posters share are perfectly fine (which we appreciate) i've noticed we have a few cases where bad language, crude innuendo and outright misogyny is creeping in.. this is not acceptable.. we're not certainly not prudish and neither are we going to enforce puritanical rules - sometimes a politically incorrect joke is funny as hell and sometimes strong language is justified.
but often times content is completely out of place and cannot be justified.. so, please don't post crude content or use expletives just to be "shocking".
it's childish and immature and won't be tolerated.. thank you to all the people this has nothing at all to do with..
I am guilty of this practice.
Will do better from now on.
Thanks Simon.

i'm sure there are countless opinions on whether you should get a tattoo or not.
my personal view is that if you were to get one it should mean something.. anyone get a tattoo to remember their jw roots?
i was thinking of getting a tetragrammaton somewhere.
I saw a video not long ago on JW.org about getting a tattoo and it was pretty convincing in all counts. WebMd also has info as to why it is not a wise idea.
Check it out, then do whatever you want anyway.

why are you guys so obsessed with organizations?
there has to be order in the world and organised people!
A good forum for venting and express opinions. That's all.

i'm visiting this site after few years here and it's feels like coming home!
just a recap on my past visits here ... i was a confused single jw mom with a 9 year old son in 2011. some friends here sent me soft copies of coc and few other ebooks which gave me the courage and strength to exit from wt society.
best ever decision i made!
A lot of good news today. Thanks for sharing.
Continue to be well.πΊπΉπ

thanks to online media of movies and books i've recently been watching the twilight series.
issues of quality aside i enjoyed it enough.
i mostly wanted to see what the fuss was about and have the fun of seeing a movie that was banned from the platform when it came out.
I have a weakness for movies about vampires and werewolves. Love, love, love them!!!
Another area in which the WTBTS can kiss my big brown ass.

what a simple life it is to be a true believer.
the cocksureness of people who never for a moment question their core beliefs is something i have come to envy.
it's altogether foreign, but it sure looks nice over on the other side.. why do some people step into the void of uncertainty while others do everything in their power never to even go near it?
The pursuit of happiness happens in many ways. Many are just as happy, if not even more, not knowing stuff.
Clearly understandable, and nothing to get upset/angry/bitter about with those who choose religious ignorance.
Live and let live.π

This is the state of mind which inspired the coined phrase "Ignorance is bliss".
It is impossible to continue in ignorance if one is inquisitive, studious or even tech savvy these days.

saw this while browsing through the good news brochure:.
is it any wonder people aren't listening to jws anymore?
what an absolutely delusional scene!
Just a peaceful, beautiful delusion.... What a nice daydream.π

instructions for circuit accounting (s-331) 6/13.
7. normal operating expenditures: normal operating expenditures include per capita contributions for use of an assembly hall, payments for other meeting facilities, and reimbursement of the special assembly day guest speaker or trav-eling overseer for travel costs or other incidental expenses incurred in connection with a circuit assembly, an assigned district convention, or a special assembly day or while teaching the pio-neer service school or moving to a new assign-ment.
such expenditures do not require a res-olution.
No more contributions from me!
This is very deceitful.
